How do I determine which browser I am using?

Windows 98/2000/XP

From your browser, go to the Help menu and choose "About…." A screen will appear showing which browser and version you are using.

Macintosh OS 9 and Below

From your browser, go to the Apple menu. Choose either "About Netscape" or "About Internet Explorer." A screen will appear showing which browser and version you are using.

Macintosh OS X

From your browser, go to the application menu, which will be titled "Explorer," "Safari," or "Netscape." Choose the "About Internet Explorer…," "About Safari," or "About Netscape…." A screen will appear showing which browser and version you are using.

 

How do I upgrade to another browser?

Mozilla Firefox

Go to the Firefox download site. Instructions will be provided to assist you with the download and installation.

Internet Explorer

Go to the Microsoft Internet Explorer download site. Instructions will be provided to assist you with the download and installation.

Apple Safari for Mac OS X

Go to the Apple Safari download site. Instructions will be provided to assist you with the download and installation. This upgrade is highly recommended for all Microsoft Internet Explorer for Mac OS X users since Microsoft has discontinued support and development of that browser.
