If you can’t make it to T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to see the middleweight championship of the world, Vee Quiva Hotel and Casino might be the next best place. Canelo Alvarez, of Guadalajara, Mexico (49-1-1, 34 KO) looks to be the first to take down Gennady Golovkin (37-0-0, 33 KO) of Karagandy, Kazakhstan.

The 35-year-old Golovkin currently holds the WBA, WBC, IBF, and IBO middleweight titles. He was the silver medalist in that division at the 2004 Athens Olympics, and won the gold medal at both the 2002 Asian Games and 2003 World Championships. The only professional loss for the 27-year-old Alvarez came to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2013, and he is coming off of a unanimous decision over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in May.
